Government adopts Bill on general product safety

The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on general product safety which ensures maximum protection of consumers’ lives and health, as well as fair market competition.
At today’s session it formed interim organs in the municipalities Ruma, Knjazevac and Prijepolje and appointed their presidents and members.
It also adopted the conclusion on determining the basis for signing the protocol on the improvement of trilateral cooperation in fight against crime, particularly cross-border crime between Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
The government decided that in the upcoming period, relevant ministries and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy reach agreement with army reservists and form a group to represent them.
The government called upon all state organs and local self-government units to help municipalities which have been suffering from water shortage in the past several days.
The government appointed Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic as national coordinator for EU pre-accession assistance and Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic as national officer for accreditation, whose task will be to ensure partner relations between the European Commission and the government, as well as other institutions and beneficiaries.
