Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic will be on a visit to the US tomorrow, during which he will submit Serbia’s official proposal resolution to the procedure of the UN General Assembly.
The Ministry says in a statement that the proposal resolution demands that the UN General Assembly asks the International Court of Justice for a consultative opinion on the legality of Kosovo-Metohija’s unilaterally proclaimed independence.
The action of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is part of a broad spectrum of diplomatic efforts to block recognition of Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence by other countries, as well as to prevent the so-called Kosovo state from becoming a member of international organisations, reads the statement and adds that the Ministry’s activities have been envisaged in the government’s action plan.
