Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica extended his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the terrorist attack in the elementary school in Beslan.

Respected President Putin,
First of all, I want to assure you that in this difficult and truly painful moment for Russia and the whole Russian nation, the Serbian government and all citizens of Serbia not only share your grief for the innocent victims, but offer you, as President of Russia, full support in the fight against the evil of terrorism.
The brutal killing of children must not remain unpunished and we are sure that after such a crime that cannot be described by words, Russia and the entire international community will gather strength to punish the masterminds of international terrorism justly and harshly.
You have a friend in the Serbian people, the government and myself, on whom you can always rely.
