Karadzic’s photograph in daily Blic not taken in district jail

The Directorate for Enforcement of Penalties of the Serbian Ministry of Justice has stated that after detailed checks, and according to statements by guards directly responsible, it has been established that the picture of Radovan Karadzic which appeared in today’s edition of the Belgrade daily Blic was not taken at the premises in charge of security personnel of the Belgrade district jail.
According to the statement issued by the directorate to provide the public with accurate information, in court reports submitted to the Belgrade district jail it was stated on two occasions that no employee of the special custody unit was present during talks in the prosecutor’s office, which is in line with legal procedures.
