Amendments to decree on terms for attracting foreign direct investments approved

The Serbian government approved at its session today amendments to the Decree on terms and conditions for attracting foreign direct investments.
The amendments have been made to accelerate economic growth and reduce unemployment by attracting large greenfield investments of special interest to Serbia in the automotive, electronics and information and telecommunications technology industries.
Under the Decree investing is defined as being worth a minimum of €200 million for creating 1000 new jobs, and the state will provide non-repayable funds worth 25% of the total investment for every individual investor.
At its session today, the government approved a decision to begin the privatisation process for Jat Airways and gave consent to privatise Jat Airways.
