Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic presented today the Serbian government’s objectives for the upcoming period to a delegation of Romanian officials and expressed assurance that by 2012 Serbia will be an EU member.
The Romanian delegation was led by Parliament Speaker Bogdan Olteanu, who congratulated the election of the new Serbian government and wished that this government introduces Serbia to the EU by the end of its mandate, which will be supported by Romania in European institutions.
The Serbian Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Romanians for Romania's position not to accept Kosovo-Metohija’s unilaterally declared independence.
Both sides confirmed readiness for continuation and strengthening of economic cooperation between Serbia and Romania.
