Dacic assumes office of minister of interior

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated today that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic visited outgoing minister of interior Dragan Jocic and assumed office.

The statement adds that Dacic thanked Jocic on results achieved in the fight against crime and corruption, and Jocic acquainted the new Minister with the Ministry’s activities from 2004 onwards.
Dacic stressed that one of the new government’s key goals is to continue and improve the fight against crime and corruption, as well as to protect the property and safety of all citizens.
Minister Dacic wished Jocic a successful recovery and added that the Ministry will provide every assistance in that respect, adds the statement.
