The statement adds that 12 Serbian companies will exhibit their products such as fruit, mushrooms, juices, jams, confectionery and other products. The Serbian national pavilion will span 100 square metres and will be themed "Natural Serbia, the True European Taste."
Companies to take part in the fair are Igda Impeks, which will present its mushrooms and truffles, Foodland with organic jams, preserves and ajvar, ITN, ML, Jugprom and Sikoberi with frozen fruits, Art-Ival with chocolate pralines, Rembraco with coffee drinks, WoW Vinarija, Marni with mushrooms, Areks Marcipan with marzipan pralines and the company Rakia Bar which will represent and promote Serbian domestic brandy producers.
The “Summer Fancy Food Show” will be held in the US, in Chicago, San Francisco and New York. Exhibitors from over 70 countries will take part. Last year, over 2,400 exhibitors presented 180,000 different products. There were 60 national pavilions, including the Serbian pavilion.
Last year Serbian companies established 500 contacts which resulted in 50 export deals. Three contracts worth €1 million were signed during the fair and the total long-term export was estimated at €5 million.
The sponsor of the Serbian companies’ participation in the New York fair is the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, adds the statement.
