According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Trade and Services, the purpose of the visit is to present Serbia’s export potential, in the framework of measures which are being implemented to increase exports.
The management of Metro Cash & Carry in Moscow expressed the wish to see a presentation by a certain number of Serbian companies from the food industry, above all those which are already doing business in Serbia within the Metro system, their products and the basic elements of their export offer, in order to examine the possibility of including Serbian companies in the Metro Group supply chain.
The Serbian business delegation, which is being led by representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Services, includes representatives of 22 Serbian companies from the food industry, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, as well as the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Metro Cash & Carry is an international market leader in self-service wholesale which has been operating successfully in Russia since 2000. During this period, the Metro Group opened seven new stores in Moscow, and today 40 stores in 26 regions of Russia are operating under the management of Metro Cash & Carry.
