The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that after several months of investigation, police arrested Nazmi Hajredini (1950) and Adnan Hajredini (1984), from Presevo.
According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, police discovered large quantities of heavy weapons and equipment, including video and propaganda material at the suspects’ residence.
The police found
five automatic firearms, two handheld rocket launchers, 20 rockets, 10 machine guns, five pistols of various calibres, two hand grenades, ammunition for heavy weapons,
uniforms of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and the Liberation Army of Medvedje, Presevo and Bujanovac (OVMPB) Albanian flags, radio transmitters,
photographs of OVMPB members and video and
propaganda material belonging to this terrorist organisation.
Suspect Nazmi Hajredini is a former member of the Albanian terrorist organisation KLA, OVMPB, and until April 2007, he was head of the OVMPB’s veterans association.
At times of armed conflicts, he was in charge of logistics and weapons supply in the headquarters of the OVMPB.
Criminal charges will be filed against the suspects and they will be brought before an investigating judge. Members of the Interior Ministry will continue with the investigation to identify other members of this organisation.
