A statement by the Serbian Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society says that special attention is paid to IT solutions for the press centre. It is a virtual data-centre with 240 virtual desktop computers for all Eurovision reporters. This project was presented by Drago Samardzic from the company Coming, which is the author of this solution.
The Ministry delegation also visited the Belgrade Arena where a 400 square metre screen, the largest in the country, has been erected on the stage.
Lighting equipment weighing 70 tonnes has been installed on the roof of the Arena, for which work was done at the Belgrade Faculty of Civil Engineering, and organisers of Eurovision provided 7megawatts power units.
A large part of this equipment will also be used for the broadcast of the Olympic Games to be held this year in China, concludes the statement.
