Government adopts memorandum on budget, economic and fiscal policies for 2009

The Serbian government adopted at today’s session a memorandum on the budget and economic and fiscal policies for 2009, with projections for 2010 and 2011.
The government determined the number of budget-funded first-year students for 2008/2009 at 15,241 and the number of first-year short-term vocational students at 5,170.
The government also adopted the Information on sending aid to victims of the earthquake in China and the hurricane in Myanmar. Serbia will send humanitarian aid in the form of medicines and medical equipment.
It also decided to shut down its Consulate General in Bari, Italy.
The government adopted the Information on potential strategic partnership in the Serbian car industry.
It adopted changes to the programme of distribution and implementation of subsidies to public non-profit making companies and organisations for 2008.
