Protest note sent to government of Lithuania

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a protest note today to the government of Lithuania for recognising the unilateral proclamation of independence by Kosovo-Metohija.
The note states the position of the Serbian government on its non-acceptance of the unilateral independence of Kosovo and points out the possible consequences that such an illegal act can have for security.
The protest note underlines that the unilateral proclamation of independence by Kosovo is a serious violation of international law and that Serbia requests that those countries recognising its independence reconsider their position.
