Justice Minister meets with Swedish Ambassador

Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic met today with Swedish Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Lars Goran Engfeldt to discuss further reforms of the local judiciary, in line with the European Union's CARDS (Community Assistance for Reconstruction, Development and Stabilisation) programme.

The programme aims to help countries in the Western Balkans strengthen democracy and the rule of law, achieve sustainable economic development and promote regional cooperation.
The two officials agreed to press ahead with projects to assist the Serbian judge training centre and the bar association, as well as a juvenile crime project launched by the Swedish government and UNICEF.
