Government adopts several decrees

The Serbian government in its session today failed to approve the gas and oil agreement between the governments of Serbia and the Russian Federation in order to send it to parliament for ratification.
The government adopted the Decree on a central register for payers of social insurance and the Decree on issuance of a special postage stamp "Red Cross Week".
Also, the Decree amending the Decree on coefficients for employees in public services was adopted, which will increase salaries of non-teaching staff in primary and secondary schools as well as at universities under the protocol which was signed on December 11, 2007.
The Decree amending the Decree on measures for long-term loans for agricultural and food production for 2008 was adopted as well.
The government approved the plan and annual programme of work for the Serbian Accreditation Body for 2008.
The government also adopted the Information on necessity to reduce the number of employees in the Tanjug news agency.
