Sutanovac said that the cooperation so far has been at a satisfactory level, especially in the fields of student exchanges, general staff improvement and exchange of experience within the NATO programme “Partnership for Peace”.
Kubis reiterated that Slovakia will not recognise the unilateral independence of Kosovo-Metohija, and that it will support Serbia in the defence of its interests concerning Kosovo and further approximation to the EU.
He also said that the Serbian Army and KFOR have good cooperation, which is of extreme importance for maintaining peace and stability in Kosovo-Metohija and to avoid provocations.
The ministers also talked about the marking of the upcoming 90th anniversary of the killing of Slovakian soldiers in Kragujevac. Sutanovac told Kubis that the Serbian Ministry of Defence is ready to offer to Slovakia all the necessary assistance and support, it is added in the statement.
