Jeremic on visit to Argentina

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic is on a one-day visit to Argentina today at the invitation of Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs Jorge Taiana.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in a statement that at the meeting Jeremic and Taiana will give special attention to the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
Since Argentina is currently chairing the union of Latin American countries MERCOSUR, Jeremic will inform Taiana about Serbia’s stance on the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo and the possible consequences that such a violation of international law can have for world security.
Jeremic will familiarise his host with Serbia’s activities in the UN and ask for Argentina’s support, adds the statement.
