Assistant Minister of International Economic Relations Jasmina Hadziabdic met with Mexican Ambassador to Belgrade Carlos Rodriguez y Quezada on Aug 17 and with the ambassadors of Malaysia and Guinea on Aug 18 to discuss possibilities to further improve economic cooperation with these countries and the need to create institutional framework work that cooperation.
According to a statement from the Serbian Ministry of International Economic Relations, potential areas of joint interest were identified at the meetings and the officials agreed that the transfer of technologies, staff training, and joint ventures should take priority in future economic cooperation.
Representatives of the ministry stressed the significance of a free trade agreement as a means to improve economic relations.
The participants also voiced readiness to encourage businesspeople to enter direct commercial talks, while the authorities of Serbia and these countries should create a legal framework that will further promote businesses and help boost Serbia’s exports, reads the statement.
