Government decides to halt construction of Horgos-Pozega motorway

The Serbian government today rejected, by majority vote, the proposal to begin the construction of the Horgos-Pozega motorway, submitted by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The government adopted the Decree on terms and conditions for using incentive funds for agricultural cooperatives in 2008, as well as the Decree on using incentive funds for rural development in 2008 through a programme of supporting socially vulnerable persons, displaced persons and refugees.
At today’s session, the government also passed the Decree on using incentive funds for rural development in 2008 through a programme of supporting the Roma.
It also adopted amendments to the Decree on terms and conditions of registering citizens with the right to financial compensation and free-of-charge transfer of shares.
The government adopted amendments to the Decree on terms and conditions of registering employees and former employees with the right to a free-of-charge transfer of shares and decided to alter the decision on the criteria for determining import tariff quotas.
It adopted the information on the need to allocate one-off financial assistance to impoverished citizens in Kraljevo and gave consent to the formation of a limited liability company Ski Centre Brezovica.
The government also approved the agendas of public companies National Park Djerdap and National Park Tara for 2008.
