The Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection stated today that the label to mark environmentally friendly products, designed by Miroslav Vujovic from Belgrade, was chosen through a public competition.
The statement adds that out of 26 submitted designs, the committee chose the one which in its opinion best represents the environment in Serbia.
The label will be a part of a rulebook for granting the right to use the eco-friendly label on environmentally friendly products.
The label will be placed on products whose production helps reduce exploitation of resources, or implies the use of secondary materials, recycled or partially recycled materials and which generally have a less negative impact on the environment than other products on the market.
The Earth-friendly label is not intended for food products, beverages or pharmaceutical products.
Once all preparations are made, the label will be publicly promoted, adds the statement.
