Serbia grateful to China for advocating peaceful solution to Kosovo issue

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today that as for the riots that recently broke out in Tibet, Serbia reaffirms its principled policy towards the "one China“ and the respect of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The statement adds that Serbia considers Tibet as China’s interior matter and respects the Chinese government’s policy towards Tibet as an autonomous region.
Our country is also grateful to China for its consistent respect of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the UN Charter, Resolution 1244 and fundamental principles of international law, as well as for advocating that the issue of Kosovo-Metohija should be solved in a peaceful manner by finding a mutually acceptable solution, reads the statement.
