Government sends protest note to Monaco over Kosovo recognition

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today sent a protest note to the government of Monaco over its recognition of unilateral independence declared by Kosovo-Metohija.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the note includes the Serbian government’s position not to accept the unilateral and illegal declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija and warned of the consequences that this illegal act could have in terms of security.
The protest note reiterates that the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija is a serious violation of international law and that Serbia is requesting those countries that have recognised Kosovo to re-examine their positions, adds the statement.
