Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac and Head of the EU Directorate-General for Political and Military Relations Stefan Lehne talked today in Belgrade about the current security and political situation in the region.
Sutanovac stressed at the meeting that Serbia is against establishing the EU mission in Kosovo-Metohija, and without a UN Security Council decision.
The minister said that Serbia counts on guarantees that KFOR and UNMIK will protect the Serbian and other non-Albanian population in the province.
Sutanovac and Lehne concluded together that it is very important to preserve peace and stability in Kosovo-Metohija, it is added in the statement.
