The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent today a protest note to the Icelandic government regarding recognition of unilateral independence declared by Kosovo-Metohija.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the note includes the Serbian government’s position not to accept the unilateral and illegal declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija and warned of the consequences that this illegal act could cause in terms of security and regional stability.
The protest note reiterates that the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija is a serious violation of international law and that Serbia is requesting those countries that have recognised Kosovo to re-examine their positions, adds the statement.
