Jeremic recommends urgent recall of Serbian ambassador to Italy

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic recommended today that the Serbian ambassador to Italy should urgently be recalled. Italy recognised the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija today.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, the ministry conveyed letters of protest to the governments of Italy as well as Estonia which also recognised the independence of the southern Serbian province today.
Serbian Ambassador to Italy Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, in accordance with the action plan of the ministry adopted at the government’s session, should leave the host country within 48 hours from the time of handing over the letter of protest by the Serbian Foreign Ministry, and return to Serbia for consultations until further steps are decided.
