Serbian President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and Serbian parliament Speaker Oliver Dulic confirmed the necessity of pursuing a unified state and national policy to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.
They concluded that there is a real, impending threat of an illegal proclamation of unilateral independence in the province of Kosovo-Metohija and that is why all state institutions must take the necessary decisions and measures to annul all illegal documents on unilateral independence.
President Boris Tadic has convened the session of the National Security Council for February 12 at which action plans, in case of a proclamation of unilateral independence of the province, will be examined.
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has scheduled a government session for February 14 to adopt the “decision to annul the illegal unilateral declaration of independence by the interim institutions of Kosovo-Metohija,” which will come into effect from the moment that such a declaration might be made.
The Serbian government will forward this decision to Serbian parliament for consideration and adoption.
The aforementioned activities and decisions aim to affirm Serbia’s unified state and national policy.
