During the fair, Serbian representatives met with representatives of Spanish tourist agencies Transrutas and Catai Tours, who are waiting for solid offers in order to include Serbia into their programmes.
Serbian representatives also met with representatives of hotel chains such as Vinci, Catalonia, Grupo Fuenso and Barcelo, which are especially interested in investing in Serbia, while during talks with representatives of airlines Iberia and Spanair, the possibilities of introducing direct flights between Spain and Serbia were discussed.
Representatives of the Spanish media were also interested in Serbia, demonstrated by the publication of several articles and a number of TV programmes broadcast about Serbia.
TOS and Belgrade, together with representatives of the Novi Sad City directorate for tourism will present Serbia’s overall tourism offering, with a special emphasis on Belgrade, Novi Sad, cultural and historical monuments, outdoor holiday activities and events in Serbia, at an exhibition stand roughly 50 square meters in area.
This year’s tourism fair in Madrid, where 170 countries and regions are being represented, received more than 150,000 visitors.
