Dialogue on visa abolition to continue next week in Brussels

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said today the Serbian government’s inter-resource group in charge of talks on visa abolition for Serbian citizens will travel to Brussels next week, where technical negotiations with representatives of the European Commission will be continued.
Djelic told the press that the task of the inter-resource group is to discuss elements which were specified at the meeting with European Commission representatives held yesterday in Belgrade.
He said that a mission of the European Commission will be in Belgrade from March 10 to 14, and explained that we will then get answers to all questions concerning the conditions which Serbia must meet in order for visa restrictions to be removed by the end of the year.
The European Commission made a historical offer to Serbia on Monday to enter Europe and for the first time guaranteed that Serbia will be made a member of the EU. They also said that visa restrictions will be removed, recalled Djelic and added that the Serbian government will very soon use the opportunity for visa abolition.
