Kostunica underlined the importance of further strengthening of Serbia's ties with Republika Srpska based on the Agreement on special and parallel relations between the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska. He said that, apart from Serbia's readiness to offer all the necessary political support to Republika Srpska, a lot will be done on further strengthening of economic relations.
In his greeting, Kostunica said that Serbia advocates consistent respect for the UN Charter and decisions of the UN Security Council, and that as a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Accords, it stands firmly on its position that principles of international law are incontestable, and that protection and preservation of all rights of the Serbian people are the duty and obligation stipulated by the Dayton Peace Accords.
Wishing all the best to Republika Srpska, first and foremost further strengthening of its institutions, overall economic progress and prosperity to the benefit of all its citizens, Kostunica said that Serbian citizens are very happy to see the constant progress of Republika Srpska, which has become an important factor of regional cooperation in both economic and cultural spheres.
Wishing merry holidays – the Day of the Republic, the Patron Saint's Day and Christmas, the Serbian Prime Minster wished to all citizens of Republika Srpska happiness, peace, true welfare and overall progress in the upcoming year.
