The statement specifies that the right to free shares belongs to all citizens who have not exercised this right until now, who came of legal age by December 31, 2007, that is, who registered as Serbian citizens by January 3, 2008.
This right also belongs to persons who resided on the territory of Serbia on June 30, 2007, that is, those with the status of temporarily displaced persons from Kosovo-Metohija.
The Ministry of Economy and Regional Development has completed a draft decree to regulate the registration of citizens, as well as employees and former employees in public companies which are subjects of privatisation.
The draft decree will enter the procedure tomorrow and the Serbian government may discuss and adopt it as soon as next week.
According to the Ministry’s proposal, the registration process will be very simplified and will be carried out in offices of the Serbian postal company and the Serbian Employment Service after the Privatisation agency announces the public invitation for registration, adds the statement.
