The Citroen van, the gift of the Vitro Group Company, will be used for transporting food to Serbs in Osojane and the neighbouring villages, who decided to return to Kosovo.
Djelic told the residents of Osojane and other Serbian villages in the Istok municipality that politically, Serbia is advocating a compromise solution to Kosovo-Metohija and the preservation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is its priority.
However, we want to create a better life for you and enable you to be safe and secure, to work and live of your work. During my previous visit I made concrete promises and I have fulfilled now them. I’m sending you greetings from the President and the Prime Minister. In the weeks to come, we will also visit other places where Serbs live and we will solve their concrete problems, stressed Djelic.
He also recalled that in September the Serbian government handed over a power generator to the returnees in order to improve electric energy supply in this area.
At the end of his visit, Djelic presented the youngest inhabitants of Osojane and the surrounding villages with presents for the New Year.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that in future, the government will increase its presence in all parts of Kosovo-Metohija inhabited by Serbs and other non-ethnic Albanians.
