Serbia's progress towards EU in Bulgaria's interest

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic met today with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivaylo Kalfin, who expressed support for Serbia's signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU on January 28, 2008.

Kalfin said that Serbia's progress towards European integration is in Bulgaria's interest.
Djelic and Kalfin discussed economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of energy. They agreed that it is in the common interest that gas pipeline "Southern Stream" goes through Serbia and agreed that the two governments should work on achieving that.
Djelic expressed gratitude for expert assistance which the Bulgarian government provides in establishing full operational capacity of the State Auditing Institution of Serbia.
