Spasojevic to take part in bilateral defence consultations in USA

Belgrade/Washington, 17 December 2007

Serbian Assistant Minister of Defence Dusan Spasojevic will take part in defence consultations between Serbia and the USA, taking place today and tomorrow in Washington.

The Ministry of Defence says in a statement that Spasojevic will meet with representatives of the State Department and the US National Security Council, as well as take part in the round table discussion themed “The Balkan Perspective", organised by the US Atlantic Council.

At bilateral consultations, organised by the US Department of Defence, delegations from Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina will also participate and the consultations will be headed by US Deputy Secretary of Defence Gordon England and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for European and NATO Policy Daniel Fata.
