Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic and Head of the OSCE Mission in Serbia Hans Ola Urstad stated today that systematic fight against corruption should be continued, and preventive measures must be taken as well.
Urstad stressed that there is no need for the OSCE to participate in the work done by the government’s Anticorruption Council and added that the OSCE will give full support to the Serbian government in its further actions against corruption.
He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the Serbian ombudsman has begun working.
Djelic said that the government has prepared a bill on amendments to the law on competition protection which will serve to strengthen the Committee for the Protection of Competition and increase its authorities.
