The talks also covered an improvement of cooperation between the two countries’ judiciaries and police forces in fighting organised crime and corruption.
Stojkovic and Porias also discussed the problems related to the work of commercial courts, since corruption and irregularities hinder foreign investment in Serbia.
As part of the CARDS programme, Southeastern European countries have agreed on joint work in the harmonisation of regulations with international standards and strengthening of the independence and efficiency of judiciary in the Balkan countries, reads a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Justice.
