The subjects of the session were corruption and measures which must be implemented on an institutional and political level, as well as relations between the council and the Serbian government.
It was agreed on the occasion that the government will forward to the council all laws which are in procedure and belong to the group of anticorruption laws, which include the law on budget system, law on public procurement, amendments to the law on competition protection, amendments to the law on privatisation and the law on state assistance.
The council and the Deputy Prime Minister agreed that a meeting of the committee for implementing the anticorruption strategy should be held as soon as possible, and that the council should be consulted in the process of adopting new laws which will lead to increased transparency in spending of budgetary funds.
The council will prepare recommendations regarding authorities which a central institution for fighting corruption should possess and present them at the next meeting, to be held after two weeks.
