According to a statement by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the meetings were held in a constructive atmosphere, concrete measures were proposed and mutual interest was expressed in promoting economic cooperation.
Following the meeting with the Commerce Minister, Dinkic said that Serbia got full support for the idea of Chinese companies in IT, electronics and auto industry setting up production in Serbia, so that goods which we import from China could be produced in Serbia.
He said that he also spoke with representatives of twenty largest Chinese companies regarding investment opportunities in Serbia.
He added that a delegation of his ministry will visit the largest auto factory in China which produces cars, trucks and buses, so that the company’s arrival in Serbia could be considered.
Dinkic presented a concept to Chinese businesspeople which is based not only on the idea of production in Serbia which could reduce Chinese imports to Serbia, but also suggests export of these products from Serbia to countries in the region and the EU.
Today Dinkic led the Serbian delegation at the second meeting of participants at the World Fair Expo 2010 in Shanghai, and held a meeting with representatives of Shanghai city authorities at which experience of building transport infrastructure in Shanghai was particularly discussed.
