Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel congratulates Kostunica appointment as Prime Minister

Austrian Ambassador to Belgrade Hannes Porias handed over Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel's letter of congratulations to Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica today.
In his letter of congratulations, Schuessel said that Austria has always been interested in establishing close ties with Serbia, which he said has a key role in regional development.
The Austrian Chancellor said he is convinced that the new Serbian government will continue reforms and pointed to the importance of Serbia's cooperation with The Hague tribunal. Schuessel also welcomed the government's decision to set stable institutions, the rule of law, economic reforms and EU integration as its priorities.
Austria is ready to take part in joint efforts to bring peace, stability and prosperity to Central and Southeastern Europe, the letter said.
