According to a statement by the Defence Ministry, Sutanovac said that Italy is one of Serbia’s most important partners and that as a contact country for Serbia in cooperation with the NATO it is continuously working to improve this cooperation.
The Italian Defence Minister, who is in Belgrade on a one-day visit, especially emphasised that the KFOR, which includes 2,300 Italian soldiers, will make all efforts to prevent violence in Kosovo-Metohija and protect non-Albanian, particularly Serb population in the province.
Sutanovac and Parisi expressed determination to continue defence and military cooperation between Serbia and Italy. During today’s meeting they also discussed forming a fund to clear-up damage from cluster bombs.
