The SAA will be initialled by EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and Deputy Prime Minister Djelic, who said that the agreement is the first concrete step Serbia will make to get closer to the EU.
He said that the concrete benefit of the SAA will be noticed in Serbia’s economy because it will now have an open door to a much greater placement of products in the EU market, and added that this is recognition to Serbia confirming that it is indeed on the road of reforms.
The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the negotiating team for having harmonised the SAA in a record deadline and stressed that Serbia rightfully expects the SAA to be signed in the shortest period possible.
