Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Popovic said that the Serbian government strongly supports Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and all institutions of Republika Srpska which need to preserve their position in accordance with the Dayton Accords.
Popovic pointed out that Serbia is guarantor of the Dayton Accords and that the Serbian government resolutely insist on full respect of the Dayton Accords and UN SC Resolution 1244.
He warned that it would be very dangerous to use the policy of violence and imposed solutions to try to make void the Dayton Accords and UN SC Resolution 1244.
High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina Miroslav Lajcak is obliged to respect the Dayton Accords as well as the will of the people of Republika Srpska who elected their democratic authorities in free elections, the Minister said.
If some countries dispute that Serbian government officials mention the Dayton Accords and UN SC Resolution 1244 in the same sentence and not in two separate sentences, we reject that kind of objection, Popovic concluded.
