Agreement on visa relaxations to be initialled by November 8

Head of the Serbian government's EU Integration Office Tanja Miscevic said that the EU Council of Ministers will formally confirm on November 8 the Agreement on visa relaxations with Serbia and that it is very important that Serbian parliament initials that document prior to the EU.

In a statement to the press in the House of Parliament, after the session of the parliament's European Integration Committee, Miscevic said that in view of the importance of the agreements on visa relaxations and readmission, there should not be problems with their adoption in Serbian parliament.
The Agreement on visa relaxations will come into force after both sides initial it, on the first day of the second month after the initialling.
She recalled that this Agreement was initialled by the European parliament on October 24.
