Government adopts budget bill

The Serbian government adopted a package of financial bills at a session today and forwarded them to the parliament for immediate approval.
The package includes a bill on the 2004 budget which describes spending plans of Serbian funds for pension and disability insurance, self-employment and agriculture, as well as financial plans of the health insurance bureau and the national employment office.
Bills on changes and amendments to the laws on public revenues and spending, and local self-government are also included in the package. A bill that will replace the law on payroll fund tax and a bill determining the share of municipalities and cities in income and sales taxes in 2004 were also forwarded to the parliament.
Earlier today, the government discussed the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija. It also appointed new deputy and assistant ministers in the government.
