Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will participate today, in the capacity of chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, in the 25th quadripartite meeting of the Council of Europe and the European Union in Strasbourg.
The Council of Europe will be represented by Jeremic and Secretary-General of this organisation Terry Davis, and the EU by Portuguese State Secretary for European Affairs Manuel Lobo Antunes and member of the European Commission Benita Ferrero-Waldner.
The meeting is being held at the initiative of Portugal, which holds the EU Presidency, and the main topics of the meeting will be relations between the Council of Europe and the EU and implementation of the Memorandum of understanding between these two organisations.
During his stay in Strasbourg, the Serbian Foreign Minister will hold a separate meeting with Terry Davis.
