Memorandum of Understanding on Energy Community’s social aspects to be signed

The Serbian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy stated that Minister Rasim Ljajic will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the Energy Community’s social aspects, which envisages increased social safety of energy consumers and employees in energy systems.
The Memorandum, which Ljajic will sign in Vienna tomorrow, is an expression of political willingness and the need to take into consideration the social consequences of the implementation of the contract on setting up the Energy Community, signed by southeast European countries (members of the Energy Community) and the EU.
The statement adds that the Memorandum of Understanding also additionally encourages the development of the social dialogue with unions in the energy sector regarding reforms of the energy system and social consequences of these reforms.
