United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan congratulated Vojislav Kostunica on his appointment as Serbian prime minister and wished him successful term of office.

Annan said in his letter of congratulations that he wants to cooperate with Kostunica and members of the new government on the questions of mutual interest for Serbia-Montenegro and the United Nations.
