The founding session of the Council for Promoting Serbia was held today. The council was formed according to a decision of the government based on the proposal by the Serbian Ministry of Trade and Services, to meet the need for beginning organised and systematic work to change and improve Serbia’s image.
According to a statement by the Serbian government, one of the first activities of the council will be establishing cooperation with all those who could contribute to improving the image of the country.
The aim of the council is to engage the widest possible circle of experts and personalities who are successful in their field and have contributed to improving Serbia’s image at home and abroad in this work.
The task of the council is to coordinate the drafting of a national strategy for promoting Serbia, which it will present to the Serbian government.
The council will realise projects through a team for implementation, which will consist of two working groups, one for implementing the strategy and the other for administrative activities and public relations.
All members of the council work on a voluntary basis, concludes the statement.
