The Ministry of Environmental Protection stated that the Belgrade Initiative should be one of the most important documents for Serbia and is to be adopted by the end of the conference.
There is an urgent necessity to react to consequences of climate change which are already obvious in Southeast Europe.
One of the initiative’s authors Danica Spasova from the Serbian Hydral Metrological Office pointed out that the economic losses, due to climate changes, are on the rise in the whole world and that therefore the system of monitoring climate changes is important for the whole region.
