Serbian Assistant Minister of Defence Dusan Spasojevic will start today a seven-day visit to the US, where he will meet with high officials of the Department of State, Pentagon, Congress and other US institutions.
The aim of the visit is improvement of bilateral military cooperation and discussions on the current security situation in the region.
At the Johns Hopkins University, Spasojevic will hold a lecture themed "Political and security challenges of Serbia – the region, reform of the defence system and Euro Atlantic integration".
He will also attend the official delivery of function between the new and old chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff – General Peter Pace and Admiral Michael Mullen.
