Serbian Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic will attend today the first meeting of the joint committee of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA 2006) which is being held in Ohrid.
According to a ministry statement, the meeting of the joint committee is being held to bring decisions regarding the establishment of the CEFTA secretariat, and the formation of CEFTA sub committees.
Serbia will participate in this meeting as a full member, since the
ratified agreement was submitted prior to the meeting.
Implementation of CEFTA is of extraordinary importance for Serbia since 30% of Serbian imports are to countries, who are members of CEFTA, and during the previous year export to these countries was worth $2 billion, concludes the statement.
